Once the food and drink are gone, you will be left with an empty gift hamper. While you may be tempted to throw it away, you should consider keeping the hamper and reusing it. Common uses for gift hampers include:

¥ Place to drop mail or keys
¥ Reuse in another gift
¥ Magazine storage
¥ Closet organizer
Even though most of these suggestions are for storage purposes, you can also redecorate the basket by painting, staining, or adding fabric to the sides so it can be used as a decorative centerpiece.
